The Blue Lotus, or water lily, has been quite popular for several thousand years due to its enchanting and uncommon blue color and sweet perfume. It is deeply rooted in Egyptian and ancient history being associated with the afterlife and rebirth as well as representing the enlightened and reawakening of the consciousness of the deceased. Although this french-beaded replica of the Blue Lotus does not have the sought-after sweet perfume, it does attempt to capture the essence of it's beauty. Standing just over 11", the Blue Lotus bloom with it's fiery center gently leans over a floating 9" lily pad. The lily pad and lotus are created as separate pieces (see additional photos). Available to order in white or pink (to ship in 4-6 weeks).
