Frequently Asked Questions

Q:
What are beaded flowers?
A:
Beaded flowers are generally constructed using two very different techniques; French method and
Victorian method.  Both methods are labor intensive and require a great deal of patience.

Flowers created using the French method  are made using thousands of tiny beads strung on thin wire,
wrapped, twisted and shaped into leaves and petals, then assembled to form almost any type of flower.

The Victorian method, often called the "ladder stitch", is more like weaving with beads.  Counted beads
are strung on very thin wire, and it's the bead count that create the shape of the leaves and petals.
They are then assembled into almost any form of flower.
Q:
How long will beaded flowers last?
A:
With very little care, beaded flowers can last a life time, or longer.  They will even outlast silk flowers if
treated with care.  Do not place beaded flowers in the direct sun, as some beads or finishes will fade.

Q:
How do I display a single flower stem?
A:
A single stem of most any flower found on this site will look beautiful by it's self in a tall, weighted vase.
Beaded flowers tend to be very top heavy, so a properly weighted vase is important.  Decorative
marbles can be found in the floral department of most craft or variety stores in a wide range of colors
and provide a good foundation for the bottom of most vases.  If the stem you purchased is too tall for
your favorite vase, we recommend that you do not cut it.  Instead, we recommend that you bend the
bottom portion of the stem upwards to shorten it for your vase.  If this is still too tall for your vase,
please
contact us and we will assist you.
Q:
How do I clean my beaded flowers?
A:
Cleaning your flowers is actually very simple.  For recommendations please click here or go to the
"Care & Feeding" page for more information.
Q:
Why does it take so long to ship my order?
A:
Each item ordered is created especially for you, and most items require a great deal of time to
complete.  Orders are filled on a first-come first-served basis and are shipped as a whole.  In some
cases, orders may be shipped earlier than stated.  In the event that an order cannot be shipped on
schedule, you will be notified immediately by e-mail or telephone.
Q:
I do not feel safe giving my credit card over the internet.  Can I place my order on hold and
send you credit card information by phone or email?
A:

your credit card information through our secure site, you may mail a check to us with your order.  We
